I AM Right Here…
Recently, as Nancy and I were up at Headquarters, we experienced a new level of warfare…not the level of warfare from the past, but the kind that increased in intensity. You probably have had similar experiences lately. I know we are not supposed to ask the “why” question, so I asked the next question: “Where are You, Lord?” It seems we have been left fighting on our own, and we have those moments where we seem to be so engulfed in challenge that we can fail to hear His answer.
Where are YOU, child?
Having a conversation with God means more than monopolizing the dialogue about what I am going through. He already knows.
Here’s a golden nugget:
He has already prepared us for what we are experiencing. He did that in yesterday’s experiences with us. Our current situation is preparing us for what lies ahead.
Understanding this brings everything into a clearer perspective. Instead of questioning the current problem and why He isn’t delivering me from it, my conversation has become, “Lord, where are WE in the middle of this?” I came to realize that I have an important place in this equation. It’s not an “I,” it is a “WE.” Our upgraded relationship is an abiding relationship. We can do nothing apart from the Vine (John 15), and He many times won’t do anything either until we become attached to the life-giving vision of what He wants us to see in the middle of it. There is always something deeper in Him He wants us to experience.
3 Hebrew Children
This story in the book of Daniel offers us the true relationship He desires when we are challenged. His Word declares that He never leaves us nor forsakes us (Heb 13:5-6). Further, He says, “I AM with you always (Matt 28:20). Then, where is He when things are going crazy…when sickness and illness seem overwhelming, finances are stretched and challenged, or when His promises seem afar off? The answer? He is IN the fire with us! And HE IS the answer. (Dan 3:24-25). It is in the fire where we get to choose whether or not our deliverance is as important as experiencing new facets of His nature.
I shared with our MOI family near the end of 2025 that what I was hearing in the Spirit was the need to upgrade in 2 areas: Courage and Hearing…Hearing in the Spirit what He is saying, and it has nothing to do with the enemy’s attacks. God already has a scheduled release of the rewards He will exact from the enemy. BUT it may come with a spiritual bloody nose or two along the way. That is where courage comes in. We must have an overcoming courage to face the enemy nose to nose in the fire while we are hearing what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. The fight is fixed as we fix our eyes and ears on the 4th Man in the fire.
Be encouraged today that God has your back…He is with you, and He is your greatest strength. An increased strength comes from the battle…it’s not left IN the battle. Know He is God…worship Him in the fire. Ask for MORE territory and MORE recovery as a benefit of the trouble caused. There is ALWAYS reward and recovery from the enemy’s camp, but it is achieved through abiding IN Him, not just with Him. Abiding IN Him allows us to hear His conversations and directions, and they are all about equipping us for the days ahead, ultimately victorious in all things.
What are You saying, Lord? What do You want to develop in us in the middle of this mess? Listen. He will whisper to us the answers from His heart, and they are all about an increase of our abiding relationship with Him. He is always talking to us. Let’s have a listening ear to hear what the Spirit God is saying (Rev 2:7). Our future battles depend upon it. Be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:9), and He will guide us into all Truth and victory.
