Three In One…The Blueprint For 2026
As we enter 2026, we have truly entered a New Era of who God wants to be for us. With the understanding that every era and season before has been to prepare us for this one, we are confident in His commitment to bring us into alignment with His purpose. But we are also in a New Era of who God wants us to be for Him. We know we can depend on Him to do His part…we can always depend on that. But Paul tells us how we can position ourselves to become what He has desired for this New Era.
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
One Thing…Three Actions
It is all about fulfilling the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Paul gives us ONE thing to do that involves THREE actions operating simultaneously. Forgetting…Reaching Forward…Press Toward the Goal.
Forget the Things Behind Us
It is interesting that Paul mentions forgetting the things behind us as the first action. Forgetting what lies behind is not the same as discounting what He has done in our lives up to the present. On the contrary, we defeat the enemy with the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony…our past history with the Lord and all He has done. Instead, Paul is referring to the past that has run its course…the heartaches, tests, fatigue, and battles in which He has taught us how to overcome.
- We are not to be tethered to the limitations of the past, and new mindsets must be established.
- Do not remember the former things, or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing. Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19 AMP.
- That is the first step in transformation…having a new mindset for the future, for the new. That is a subject all to itself, but if you have completed Game Changers, you are familiar with how important this is. Forget the failures…Forget the offense…Forget even the expectations of the past. Remember not nor ponder the past…Focus on what God says about you now.
What Does “Forget” Mean?
The word “forget” means “be neglectful of.” The experiences and pain were real, but our new mindset is set on the pursuit of His desires for us. When we look at this in that light, we can be “neglectful” to remember.
- Do not allow the old mindset and experiences to numb us to the real purpose for it all: to be able to press forward toward the prize of the upward call of God upon us.
- A new mindset is the foundational piece of this process.
Reach Forward
Second, if we can “forget” and be purposely “neglectful” of the past, we can more effectively reach forward. Neglect is not a natural forgetfulness. It is a choice we make that targets something we will no longer allow oxygen.
- Reaching forward into the future things God has for us cannot occur if we have one hand hanging on to the past and one reaching as high as it can. That has minimal effect.
- A full reaching forward is to neglect holding onto the past and extending both hands upward in praise, surrender, and new expectation.
Reaching forward actually means extending beyond your comfort zone. Are you ready to be stretched in 2026? Are you willing to expand your availability and accessibility outside your comfort zone? When we first allow this enlargement to begin, we drive our stakes into the Rock Christ Jesus to give us the stability and strength for the process. 2026 is about this very thing… exchanging comfort for expansion.
Enlarge the site of your tent [to make room for more children]; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not spare them; Lengthen your tent ropes And make your pegs (stakes) firm [in the ground]. “For you will spread out to the right and to the left; And your descendants will take possession of nations And will inhabit deserted cities. Isaiah 54:2-3 AMP
Pursuing the Call of God
Finally, as we are neglectful of the past and we reach forward outside our comfort zone to the things that are ahead (not behind), we can press toward the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. The word “pressing” means “to pursue,” and the “upward call” means “an invitation.” Pursuing His invitation…
I am reminded of the scripture in Revelation 4:1, inviting us to come up higher:
After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a [war] trumpet speaking with me, said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.’ Revelation 4:1 AMP
This is the year to neglect the past, reach beyond our comfort zone, and accept His invitation to pursue His purposes in us. The New Era carries a new expectation.
- Aglow International has come into her moment, and we are pursuing His desire for our assignments.
- Male and female working together, hand in hand, extending our arms in surrender and receiving a new mindset to pursue Him only…Receiving a new faith for new battles and victories ahead in pursuit of “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
- We WILL FINISH STRONG!
Well done, Aglow International. You have been faithful in the small things. I will expand your authority and territory now in areas that have seemed impossible before. This is our moment to move upward and forward. We are all in this together…and it begins with each of us.
